LexiDefense

About Game:

LexiDefense is a combination of tower defense and word-building strategy. Your goal is to create words that closely match a randomly selected target word using the letters you’re given. The similarity of your word to the target word is judged with a neural network scoring your word based on how closely it matches the target.
Once scored, the letters are transformed into cubes, which you can arrange on the game board to create the maze. The higher the score of your word, the more powerful towers placed on the cube will be. The game consists of 15 waves, and your aim is to achieve the highest possible score by eliminating as many enemies.
If you have a letter that doesn’t fit well, you can place it as a "dead cube," which has a score of 0 but can still be used in your maze. Defeating enemy troops randomly rewards you with extra letters.

Controls:

Click on letters to select them in order.

Enter - input selected letters
Space - cancel selection
ESC - Pause/Settings

Click on a grid with a selected coloured cube, to place it into the maze.
Click on a tower to select it and then click on the cube in the maze to place it on.


Word Score:

Neural networks judge your word based on its replacibility in as many scenarios. It takes letter similarity, context, semantics and common groups (animals, furniture, etc) into consideration.
